“Proposition A aims to implement meaningful police oversight in Austin. It would require the city to have basic transparency and oversight provisions in order to approve a police contract, such as independent investigation ability, access to bodycam footage, and access to anonymous complaints. Prop B is the “fake” APOA which preserves sealed records on all misconduct investigations, removes independent investigation abilities, and would negate Prop A if passed. Can we count on you to vote Yes on Prop A and No on Prop B?”
